How do I get my results?

IELTS test results are released 13 calendar days after the test and unofficial results can be viewed online.

Regular postage is free of charge; however charges for courier services and/or overseas postage will be passed onto candidates.

A candidate may request up to five (5) additional TRFs to be sent to Receiving Institutions (universities, professional bodies, etc) within two (2) years of taking the IELTS test. An order for more than five (5) TRFs will be subject to additional fees.

One copy will be issued to candidates unless they are applying to Citizenship & Immigration Canada or UK Visas & Immigration – in these cases, they can receive two. Proof of application to CIC & UKVI must be provided. Up to five copies can be sent to RO’s at no extra charge, if they are detailed on the Application Form. Centres, however, can charge candidates for international postage and/or courier costs.

Candidates can request additional copies to be sent to RO’s at any time within two years from the test date. Centres may charge an administrative fee and for international postage and/or courier costs.

NOTE: Test Centres are NOT permitted to give test results over the telephone, via fax or e-mail to the candidate.

IELTS Results

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has announced a potential strike action on Monday, October 22. In the event of a postal strike, IELTS Test Centres will not be able to mail results to recognizing organizations or Test Report Forms (TRF) to candidates.

Strike action would affect the mailing of current results for tests from October 11th onwards and extra TRF requests for the duration of any stoppage in service from Canada Post.

For urgent mailing of your test results or additional TRFs, centres are able to offer courier delivery. Please contact your centre for further information.
