Job Description:
The IELTS Examiner will expertly assess candidates, with the consistency and standards as set out by IELTS, in the speaking module of the IELTS test. The Examiner will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of the test and ensure a fair testing procedure is followed for all candidates in the speaking module.

Job Location:
IDP IELTS Test Centre is testing in Vancouver, Langley, Coquitlam, Edmonton, Calgary, GTA, St. Catharines, and Hamilton, and we are currently recruiting for Vancouver, Langley, Coquitlam, Calgary, GTA, St. Catharines, and Hamilton.


▪ Examine candidates regularly (Saturdays afternoon and possible Sunday afternoon), for the speaking module of the IELTS test at designated test sessions
▪ Maintain confidentiality and security in all aspects of IELTS
▪ Comply fully with the Examiner Code of Practice and IELTS Confidentiality Undertaking
▪ Undertake scheduled standardization training and re-certification


▪ An undergraduate degree in a related field or area
▪ A recognized qualification in TESOL/TESL/TEFOL
▪ At least three-years full time (or the equivalent of part-time) relevant TESOL teaching experience with the majority relating to adult students (16 years and over)
▪ Punctual, dependable and responsible

The Canadian Union of Postal Workers has announced a potential strike action on Monday, October 22. In the event of a postal strike, IELTS Test Centres will not be able to mail results to recognizing organizations or Test Report Forms (TRF) to candidates.

Strike action would affect the mailing of current results for tests from October 11th onwards and extra TRF requests for the duration of any stoppage in service from Canada Post.

For urgent mailing of your test results or additional TRFs, centres are able to offer courier delivery. Please contact your centre for further information.
